The Process:

In 2022, NYC was looking to develop a toolkit to support civic conversations in the areas of inter-racial and inter-religious discussions. The intent was to equip youths with the tools and capacities to enter into such conversations with care and empathy, while having an honest exchange of views. The toolkit was developed Bold at Work as the engagement and design consultant, and The Whitehatters as the content consultant. Through multiple iteration and playtests, we developed a set of conversation cards, integrating local case studies (content) and prompts to guide the process (from opening, sharing to an appreciative closing).
