The Process:
As part of the school’s Talent Development Programme, Swiss Cottage Secondary School wanted an interactive learning experience that would equip students with the capacities to innovate in the face of problems. With the Bold 3A (Activate, Align, Act) Methodology as a guide, the Bold At Work team introduced students to key principles for productive ideation, through i) the power of tapping into personal assets as a source of innovativeness, ii) radical collaboration for generativity amidst mess and divergence and iii) convergence to move forward.
In the process, students also got to practise the use of tools such as rapid mindmapping for ideation and deriving user needs statement through a collaborative approach.
As a result, students were able to have an experience of the power of designer mindsets in ideation and problem solving.
